Mechanical Check Melbourne – Fixed Price $180

Book for Mechanical Checks at Melbourne Euro now!

Know the Condition of Your Vehicle

Not sure what condition your car is really in? Melbourne Euro provides a comprehensive Mechanical Check for $180 inc. GST, designed to give you a clear assessment of your vehicle’s mechanical and electronic condition.

Our technicians inspect the vehicle under the bonnet, underneath on the hoist, around the suspension, brakes, tyres and drivetrain, while checking for visible leaks, wear and developing problems.

You’ll receive a vehicle health report explaining what we’ve found and what, if anything, requires attention.

Fixed Price Mechanical Check: $180 inc. GST

What’s Included in Our $180 Mechanical Check?

Electronic Diagnostic Scan. We scan applicable vehicle systems for stored fault codes relating to areas such as:

  • Engine management
  • Transmission
  • ABS and stability control
  • Airbag systems
  • Steering and suspension
  • Battery and charging systems
  • Drivetrain
  • Body and comfort electronics
  • Other vehicle control modules

A fault code provides a starting point rather than automatically identifying the failed component. If further testing is required, we’ll explain the recommended diagnostic process.

Engine & Under-Bonnet Inspection

We inspect applicable:

  • Engine oil level and visible leaks
  • Coolant level and condition
  • Cooling-system leaks
  • Brake fluid
  • Power steering fluid where applicable
  • Drive belts and hoses
  • Battery and connections
  • Air filter condition
  • Visible intake and turbo components
  • General engine-bay condition

This is an inspection service. Servicing, fluid replacement and repairs are quoted separately where required.

Hoist & Underbody Inspection

Your vehicle is raised on a hoist so our technicians can inspect areas that aren’t normally visible.

We check applicable:

  • Engine and transmission leaks
  • Cooling-system leaks
  • Steering components
  • Control arms and bushes
  • Ball joints
  • Shock absorbers and struts
  • Springs and suspension components
  • CV joints and boots
  • Driveshafts and axles
  • Exhaust system
  • Fuel lines and hoses
  • Drivetrain components
  • General underbody condition

Brakes, Steering & Suspension

We inspect key components affecting vehicle safety, handling and ride quality, including applicable:

  • Brake pads and discs
  • Brake hoses and visible lines
  • Control arms
  • Suspension bushes
  • Ball joints
  • Tie rods
  • Steering components
  • Shock absorbers and struts
  • Springs
  • Sway-bar links
  • Visible mounting components

Any abnormal wear identified is recorded in your vehicle health report.

Tyres & Wheels

We check:

  • Tyre tread
  • Tyre pressures
  • Visible tyre damage
  • Uneven wear
  • Abnormal wear patterns
  • General wheel and tyre condition

Uneven tyre wear can sometimes indicate an underlying alignment, steering or suspension problem that requires further investigation.

Battery Health Check

We assess applicable:

  • Battery condition
  • State of charge
  • Battery terminals and connections
  • Visible corrosion
  • Charging-system performance

A deteriorating battery can cause starting problems and, on modern vehicles, may also contribute to electrical faults and warning messages.

Lights, Wipers & General Condition

We also check basic operating and safety items including:

  • Headlights
  • Brake lights
  • Indicators
  • Exterior lighting
  • Wipers and washers
  • Windscreen and visible glass condition
  • Heating and air conditioning operation
  • Visible exterior condition

Your Vehicle Health Report

After the inspection, we’ll explain our findings and help you understand what should be prioritised.

Needs attention now – problems requiring prompt attention.

Plan for – maintenance or repairs that should be considered in the near future.

Monitor – developing wear that doesn’t currently require immediate repair.

If additional diagnosis or repairs are recommended, we’ll provide a quotation before further work proceeds.

When Should You Book a Mechanical Check?

A Mechanical Check can be useful if:

  • You’ve recently purchased a used vehicle
  • You don’t know its maintenance history
  • The vehicle hasn’t been inspected for some time
  • You’ve noticed a noise, vibration or leak
  • You’re planning a long road trip
  • You want to understand upcoming maintenance costs
  • The vehicle is getting older
  • You simply want to know its current mechanical condition

You don’t need to wait for a warning light or breakdown to have your vehicle inspected.

Mechanical Check vs Minor Service

Our $180 Mechanical Check is an inspection and vehicle health assessment. It’s designed for customers who want to understand their vehicle’s condition without carrying out a scheduled service.

Our $550 Fixed Price Minor Service includes scheduled maintenance such as engine oil and oil filter replacement together with a broader vehicle inspection.

Want to know what condition your vehicle is in? Choose the Mechanical Check.

Is your vehicle due for servicing? Choose the Fixed Price Minor Service.

Our $180 Mechanical Check is not limited to European vehicles.

We can inspect a broad range of petrol, diesel and hybrid passenger vehicles and SUVs.

Melbourne Euro also has specialist experience with: Audi | BMW | Mercedes-Benz | Volkswagen | Porsche | Lamborghini | Škoda | MINI | CUPRA | Bugatti | Land Rover | Range Rover | Volvo | Bentley | Maserati
